Welcoming Team

The Welcoming Team greet people as they walk into the church and main sanctuary. They also help guide people to open seats, should finding a seat become difficult on a given Sunday.

Pre-Requisites: Must have attended Lifespring for a minimum of 2 months in person. Be a regular attendee of Lifespring’s worship services.

Steps to Serve: 1) Sign up at Guest Central after service or online. 2) Once contacted, you will be invited to the chatroom and given the assigned position/weekly rotation. 3) On the first day of serving, the staff member leading that day’s team will train and help you and guide you through (no separate training or experience needed).


Guest Central Team

The Guest Central Team helps newcomers get plugged into the church and serve immediately after the service ends (approximately 10-15 mins of serving time). Volunteers help usher newcomers to the E47 Room located in the cafe for a Newcomer’s Reception. They also answer questions about the church at Guest Central booth.

Pre-Requisites: Covenant Member (Completed Class 101 and New Membership Class)

Steps to Serve: 1) Sign up at Guest Central after service or online. 2) Once contacted, you will be invited to the chatroom and given the assigned position/weekly rotation. 3) On the first day of serving, the staff member leading that day’s team will train and guide you through the process. The staff lead will go through the most-asked questions for training purposes.


Education Department Ministries

The Education department consists of Kidspring (Children’s Ministry) and RISE (Youth Ministry – 6th-12th Grades). Some roles and components of these ministries are: Check-In and Check-Out, Classroom Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Audio/Video, Floaters, etc.

Pre-Requisites: Covenant Member (Completed Class 101 and New Membership Class) OR have attended Lifespring for a minimum of 6 months. Must attend and be a part of a Community Group at Lifespring. If you do not yet meet these requirements, please speak to our Education staff directly. Due to both ministries involving minors, interviews and references are required. Volunteers should have a love for and desire to invest in the next generation. Necessary training will be provided for all roles.

Steps to Serve: 1) Sign up at Guest Central after service or online. 2) You will be sent an application form to be filled out prior to an interview with our Education staff. This application must be filled out in its entirety to process it. 3) You will be contacted to schedule a meeting or phone call for an interview and to review your application. 4) Volunteers are asked to commit to an initial term of one year with the option to recommit afterward. This is to give adequate time to build relationships with the youth and children that they will be teaching.

*Volunteers must be able to attend Adult Worship Service during a service he/she is not serving in Kidspring/RISE Youth.


Production Team

This team works together to produce weekly announcement videos for worship services. There are also ministry events/promos, conferences, and lots of various preparations that occur throughout the weeks. Experience in photography, filming, video editing, or motion graphics is a plus! We are looking to work with willing people who have a love for serving God through media and art.

Pre-Requisites: Be a regular attendee of Lifespring’s worship services

Steps to Serve: 1) Sign up at Guest Central after service or online. 2) Once contacted, the team lead will provide information training/serving.


Worship Team (Korean 10am, English 12pm, Bilingual 2pm)

The Worship Team leads the congregation in praise and worship during our services throughout the year. They prepare both musically and spiritually in advance for team rehearsals and give their best for God’s glory each week.

Practice times are on Saturdays (based on service times): 10am Service: 9am Practice / 12pm Service: 11:30am Practice / 2pm Service: 10:15am Practice

Pre-Requisites: Covenant Member (Completed Class 101 and New Membership Class) and have attended Lifespring offline for a minimum of 3 months. Must be an active member of a Community Group. Passing an audition is the final pre-requisite.

Steps to Serve: 1) Sign up at Guest Central after service or online. 2) You will be sent an application form to be filled out prior to an audition with our Worship Team leader. This application must be filled out in its entirety to process it. 3) An audition date/time will be set up between you and the Worship Team leader.


Choir

Lifespring’s Choir performs offeratory songs or celebration songs during various services throughout the year. These include Easter Sunday, Anniversaries, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc. Practices vary.

Steps to Serve: 1) Sign up at Guest Central after service or online. 2) Once contacted, you will be invited to a chatroom for future events.


Audio/Visual Team

The AV Team serves the church by ensuring a distraction-free and technically smooth service in regards to sound, video, and lights. The AV team works closely with the Worship Team leads but functions as a separate team.

Audio: The audio volunteer will operate the mixer during the services to ensure that the sound during the live worship, videos, and preaching is clear and conducive to a smooth service. The ideal volunteer will have an understanding of sound/music and experience with a mixer (training is available for those without experience). ProPresenter: The ProPresenter volunteer will operate the presentation software on the computers, which control what is seen on the screens throughout the services to create a distraction-free environment. Lights: The lighting volunteer will operate the lighting console to control the stage lights during services to create an environment conducive to distraction-free worship. Video: The video volunteer will control the sanctuary cameras and operate the video switcher during the services, which controls the live feed for both online and offline services.

Pre-Requisites: Covenant Member (Completed Class 101 and New Membership Class) and have attended Lifespring offline for a minimum of 3 months. Must attend and be a part of a Community Group. **TRAINING PROVIDED**

Steps to Serve: 1) Sign up at Guest Central after service or online at our Serving Opportunities page. 2) You will be sent an application form to be filled out prior to receiving training from our Worship Team leader. 3) You will observe inside the AV Booth for 2 live Sunday worship services. 4) You will receive necessary training (usually 2 sessions on Saturdays).


Offering Ushering Team

The Offering Ushering Team consists of ushers who stand in the aisles to collect tithes/offering during our offline worship services. As an offering usher, you are contributing to the overall worship flow and bringing glory to God as you bring forward the collected offering to the front altar for the time of prayer that follows. There is a time of prayer after all the offering is brought up to the front table.

Pre-Requisites: Be a regular attendee of Lifespring’s worship services

Steps to Serve: 1) Sign up at Guest Central after service or online. 2) Once contacted, you will be invited to the chatroom and given the assigned position/weekly rotation. 3) On the first day of serving, the staff member leading that day’s team will train and guide you through the process. Arriving 10 minutes earlier is desired for each week you are serving.


Cleaning Team

The Cleaning Team consists of any willing people who want to help take care of God’s house! The team meets weekly on Saturdays from 9:30am-10:30am (minus special event days) to mop, vaccuum, wipe surfaces, clean windows, and sanitize our church worship facilities/rooms. We strongly believe that good facility management brings about a safe, beautiful, and functional environment for worship!

Parking Ministry

The Parking Ministry creates a comfortable environment and incredible first impression for guests by offering a safe, easy parking experience with a high-energy welcome and clear directions. Volunteers will help direct cars to the appropriate lots for Sunday worship services.

Cafe Team

We are always open to in-between service help, especially in our cafe and kitchen areas. Duties include the refilling/restocking of cups/napkins, and checking the overall cleanliness of the cafe (tabletops, trash cans, sweeping). After the last service, the team also washes the Sunday coffee pots for drying.

Hosting/Refreshments Team (Event-based)

The Hosting Team volunteers are reached out to for various special church events or services that involve snacks/refreshment preparations. If you like working with your hands behind the scenes, this team is for you! Training for layout, set-up, and guest-hosting is provided.

Dishwashing Outreach (Monthly)

When: Every 2nd Friday, 1pm-2pm

Our church goes to help with washing lunch trays in the Yeonsu-gu area in partnership with Compassion Korea. Both adults or students can join! The sign ups each month are via email to Pastor Annie Lee: annielee@lifespring.kr


IPT (Intercessory Prayer Team)

The Intercessory Prayer Team comes to the Intercessory Prayer Room located in the church at his/her designated hour every week to pray over the various prayer request cards that are received by the church. We hope and pray that you will be a lifelong intercessor! Pre-Requisites: Covenant Member (Completed Class 101 and New Membership Class) and completion of Class 402: IPT Training (4-week class)

Steps to Serve: 1) If you are NOT yet a Covenant Member: When Class 101 and New Membership Class (NMC) are offered, sign up to take and complete both classes. Class 101 and NMC are offered periodically every 3-4 months. 2) If already a Covenant Member: Sign up to take Class 402: IPT Training. This is a 4-week class that goes over the biblical foundations of intercessory prayer. It is offered once or twice a year. 3) Once you complete Class 402, you will start a 16-week commitment (this process is described during the training period). At the end of the 16 weeks, we will have a completion celebration ceremony.
