Anne Lee

Anne is currently serving as part-time ministry staff and in areas such as Kidspring children and worship. She grew up in India, in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains. She is currently studying for her B.A. in Biblical & Theological Studies from Boyce College at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has a heart for worship and making disciples from all nations. In her free time she likes to run outdoors (but only in perfect weather), read books and make coffee.

Annie Lee

Annie (also called by her Korean name, Yaelim “Yae-rim”) received her B.A in Comparative Literature and Culture from Yonsei University in Korea. She is currently pursuing an M.Div degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She serves our Kidspring Children’s Ministry. She has a soft heart for building relationships and being out on the mission field.

Caroline Nam

Pastor Caroline is the office manager at Lifespring. She received a B.A. in Visual Arts at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a M.A. in Discipleship Ministries. After spending most of her life in Maryland and doing ministry in a Korean-American setting, she moved to Korea to serve at Lifespring Church in 2015. She is a planner and enjoys a structured lifestyle. In her free time, she can be found at the movie theater or at any ethnic restaurant!

Earn C.

Earn Apichaya Chaitanapinyo is the Media Associate at Lifespring Church. She has a passion for social media content and expanding the Kingdom of God through photo/video/media platforms. In addition to working on media projects, she loves to serve in our Kidspring children’s ministry. She is from Thailand and graduated with a BA in Psychology at Yonsei University.

Heather Byun

Heather SMN grew up in South Korea in a Christian home. After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from Ewha Women’s University, Heather went to study English in the United States where she met husband, Dr. Byun. She also has a M.A. in Christian Education with a Counseling Emphasis from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is a woman of prayer and a deeply spiritual woman and helps with translating weekly messages for Dr. Byun. She also prays for and ministers to the sisters of Lifespring Church, and is the mother of their four children: Karis, Kara, Josh, and Joey.

Dr. James H. Byun

Dr. Byun is the Founding Sr. Pastor of Lifespring Church. He was born in Seoul, Korea but immigrated to the United States when he was 2 years old.  He grew up in a Christian home and his father is a retired Presbyterian Pastor in San Francisco. Dr. Byun has close to 30 years of ministry experience.

His passion is to see people fully engaged as disciples of Jesus Christ. He has been a resource for several churches in regards to generating discipleship, small groups, and leadership development ministries.  He has served on the faculty of the Global Leadership Development Institute of JAMA (Jesus Awakening Movement for America) and has also served on the Board of Directors at JAMA. He is currently serving on the Board of Trustees at Dallas Baptist University. He is also on the Board of Directors of Korean Baptist English Minister’s Fellowship (KBEMF).

He was ordained in the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) in the US. He and his wife, Heather, have four children.

Jian Chung

Jian is currently serving as the part-time Media Assistant. She received her M.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Houston and her B.A. in English Literature from Dankook University. She has a passion for video editing and finds interest in spreading the gospel through social media. She loves to exercise and especially enjoys the camaraderie and bonding with others through sports. She is married to her husband TJ and has one son: Han.

Jinhyun Kim

Pastor Jinhyun is one of the assistant pastors at Lifespring and is helping in various areas. He graduated from Kyunghee University with a degree in Int’l relations and received his M.Div from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to his wife, Saem and they have two twin boys: 글 and 그림.

Julia Park

Julia is currently serving as part-time support as an advancement analyst for our Education department. Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, she moved to Korea to work with elementary students at an international school. She received her B. Sc in Zoology and B. Ed from the University of Manitoba and recently completed her M. Ed in Curriculum and Instruction at Dallas Baptist University. She loves the outdoors! In her free time she enjoys camping and other recreational activities.

Rev. Kenny Chae

Rev. Kenny serves as an associate pastor and handles many facility-related and admin-related projects under the umbrella of Operations Pastor. He also oversees our married couples community groups. He graduated from Scarborough College with a degree in Theology, and received his M.Div from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to his wife, Jane and they have three children: Kayla, Ezra, and Elijah.

Khuong Pham

Pastor Khuong is one of the assistant pastors at Lifespring and is helping in various areas. He graduated from University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts(B.A.) in Music, and received his M.Div from McMaster Divinity College. He is married to his wife, Esther Kim and they have two boys: John and Nathan. His nationality is Vietnamese-Canadian.

Minsung Kim

Minsung serves as our Director of Translation Services. She received her B.A. in International Studies from Yonsei University in Korea. She helps administratively in various areas and uses her linguistic skills to help with many of the church translations.

Rev. Samuel Lee

Rev. Samuel (also called Sam) oversees LCM (college ministry) and RISE Youth ministry. He received his B.A. in Economics from University of California, Irvine and his M.Div degree from Talbot School of Theology. He has a passion for next generation discipleship – guiding the next generation to learn from Jesus and become disciples who make disciples. He is married to Eunjung and in his spare time, he enjoys staying active, playing basketball and cycling.

Rev. Sunghwa Park

Rev. Park is currently the Pastor Emeritus. He is widely respected in Incheon as a praying pastor. Rev. Park preaches at our morning prayer services three days a week. He has a gentle spirit and Dr. Byun calls him the “The most humble man I know.” He is married to Mrs. Kangsun Lee and they reside in Songdo. They support Lifespring Church in many ways with their wisdom and prayerful hearts.
